| President's Report 2009 |
| In my brief tenure as president, I continue to be amazed at the quality Of Our McDonough Scholars and the ongoing dedication from you for your continuing support over the years. Obviously, without you, we would not be able to continue the goal of raising money to help students and employees of New Hampshire golf clubs as they further their education. In these economic times, the task has become more difficult. Nevertheless, for the academic year 2008-09, The McDonough Scholarship Foundation was able to award 111 college students attending colleges and universities, not only throughout New England, but virtually nation wide. The financial support awarded totaled $105,100.00. I recognize we tend to "beat a dead horse" when discussing our students, but to sit through the interview process and see the evolution of our scholars from freshman to seniors is truly a unique and sincerely gratifying experience. |

| McDonough Scholarship Application Available |
Scholarships are available to any student employee, male or female, of a New Hampshire golf course or club. Candidates should demonstrate promise of academic success, as well as require financial assistance. Once awarded, a McDonough Scholarship may be renewed each year for a total of four years. Annual grants are renewable depending upon annual maintenance of academic standards and the continued need for financial aid. All candidates must be recommended by the golf club where they have been employed for a minimum of two seasons. Applications are due by May 15, and may be obtained by writing to:

| 2009 Annual Benefit Golf Tournament |
The 27th Annual McDonough Scholarship Foundation Benefit Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009 at Abenaqui Country Club at Rye Beach, NH.
The Annual Benefit Tournament is an important revenue producer for the Foundation resulting in additional scholarship grants available for young men and women employed at New Hampshire courses. |
